Join the Chorus of Change: Sponsor the Gratitude Concert Featuring Mykal Rose
The rhythms of change are echoing throughout Grand Rapids, and you have a unique opportunity to amplify its reach.
On May 11th, Wealthy Theatre will reverberate with the steady downbeat of reggae music as we host the Gratitude Concert featuring the legendary Mykal Rose, who was the lead singer of Black Uhuru from 1977 to 1985 and who continues to carry the international torch of reggae music during his prolific solo career.
Worldwide, Mykal Rose is a household name. He is one of the top reggae artists in the world. Mykal is an exceptionally talented vocalist and performer. He has an original style and sound that was quickly embraced by fans and music lovers. Mykal is the favored voice of Black Uhuru, with his Waterhouse slurs, effective songwriting, militant dancing, and vocals.
This isn't just a night of music; it's a celebration of community, a harmonious call to give back, and an opportunity to give thanks to those who help make our world a little brighter.
An Evening of Gratitude
The Gratitude Concert promises to be a vibrant homage to the cultural roots of reggae and its power to inspire change. In addition to Rose, the hip hop sounds of Loftside Story (a Euro-K reunion band) and indie rock newcomer, ISOBEL, will perform with old school and new school sounds, weaving a tapestry of home grown talent and global legacy.
Each ticket sold will contribute directly to The Delta Project's noble mission—fostering growth and empowerment within our communities. We're not just listening to music; we're amplifying the voices of those working tirelessly to drive positive change.
Showing Support: Sponsorship Opportunities
But there's more to this event than music. There's a chance for you to play a leading role in supporting this effort. We're calling on businesses, philanthropists, and community leaders to join us as sponsors for this positive event. Your sponsorship will not only elevate your brand in the eyes of the community, but it will also resonate with youth and families dealing with the juvenile justice system.
As a sponsor, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, from prominent logo placement on event materials to mentions in all our promotional efforts, including social media shoutouts and acknowledgments during the concert. But beyond the brand visibility, your support will underline your commitment to cultural arts and community development.
Become a Beacon of Gratitude
This is more than a musical event—it's a beacon of gratitude. And your sponsorship will help shine a light to guide us toward a more cohesive, empowered society. With your support, we can ensure that the Wealthy Theatre isn't just filled with music on May 11th, but with the spirit of giving and the joy of communal achievement.
